The Big Optician's corporate eyecare scheme is relevant to all companies who have employees who use VDU as part of their work. Such companies have obligations to provide regular eye examinations under the Health & Safety Executive (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations. The eye examinations will be undertaken by appointment, at the convenience of your employee, and can be carried out either in the city centre at our Market Street practice or in the out of town optical superstore in Byker. The former is open 6 days per week and the latter practice 7 days per week with unlimited, free parking for ultimate convenience.

Comprehensive eye examinations by fully qualified optometrists using state-of-the-art technology will give you the peace of mind to know the eyecare of your staff is in the hands of experts. A full VDU report will be provided to you for each member of staff and you will be provided with a named point of contact to discuss any queries that may arise. A single monthly invoice will be provided to keep your administration costs down to a minimum.
